As some further changes have gone into FSF glibc CVS to a couple of files, 
on which the 2.10 branch tags have also apparently been adjusted, I've 
done another merge to trunk and EGLIBC 2.10.  It appears the 2.10 
branchpoint was not on the latest revision of several files, as if 2.10 
was tagged from a CVS checkout that was not fully up to date; I have 
avoided merging the reversion of recent changes to those files to EGLIBC 
2.10, since there does not appear to be any advantage to reverting those 
changes and they pose no compatibility issues.
