This patch looks like a backport of FSF glibc commit
32cf40699346d37fabfa887bbd95e95004799ae1. In such cases you should make
sure you do backport the patch as exactly as possible - and that your
ChangeLog.eglibc entry includes that from FSF glibc to preserve
accreditation to the original author.
Which branches have this issue? The general EGLIBC practice is that if a
bug fix is applied on a release branch it's also applied on all subsequent
affected release branches - although FSF glibc doesn't always follow that,
so this may not apply to fixes merged from there.
