I submitted to libc-alpha a patch [1] similar to this change, except
that it should also work with SELinux environments.
I followed it with a patch [2] to replace the Bash-only $"msgid" quoting
with calls to gettext and eval_gettext.
So that should make glibc's (and EGLIBC's) ldd work as expected on any
sufficiently POSIX-conformant shell.
(Of course this doesn't affect the @PKGVERSION@ and @REPORT_BUGS_TO@
changes in r7026.)
