Unfortunately Steve Longerbeam's patches, which included an update to the 
cross-building instructions 
<http://www.eglibc.org/archives/patches/msg01035.html>, never got a final 
updated version and ChangeLogs so haven't gone in; they still need someone 
to find the latest posted versions, pick them up, update them to current 
EGLIBC and resubmit.  (The updated instructions after that patch are again 
out-of-date regarding the location of the ports add-on.)
