I use option groups for my servers (x86-32/64, medicine field). The
list of _disabled_ groups is like
ADVANCED_INET6
BACKTRACE
BIG_MACROS
BSD
CATGETS
FORTIFY
GMON
IDN
LDCONFIG
LIBC5
LIBM_BIG
LOCALES
MALLOC_DEBUG
MEMUSAGE
NIS
RCMD
RTLD_DEBUG
STRING_INLINES
The list contains my homegrown additions, too (like
OPTION_EGLIBC_FORTIFY). Yes, the size of libc.so is not cut down
dramatically, but if some things are not used _at all_ and if they can
be excluded, then why don't exclude them?
And without option groups, what will be the main difference between
eglibc and glibc?
