That's not a problem. We have a certain amount of leeway with the
versions of symbols added to ports; it won't blow anything up to add
it a little later.
I was hoping for a nod from Richard on the chosen ABI, but it doesn't
seem really necessary. Paul, let me know which patch you want applied
to ports.
