I'm not actually on the committee anymore, but I could ask on the  
reflector, since I still participate there occasionally.  I would like  
to see compatible semantics, in general.  I'm not sure WG14 will care,  
though, so far as I know *asprintf are not in C9X anyway.  (I haven't  
read C0X.)
