I had interpreted your comment as indicating that we should wait for
WG14 to actually do something semi-formal (e.g., discuss this in a WG14
meeting). Asking by email seems like a good idea to me, as long as we
don't interpret lack of direction there as necessarily blocking what
people seem to think is a pretty clear improvement.
