Kaixo!
One difficuly I had when writting the first ug_CN was to determine/choose
the codepoint to use for some letters (I had a chart in printed form).
There is a Uyghur Character Code Standard now.
Also I didn't knew what to do with the U+0626
It is very special and most troublesome of all code points.
Eagle's version seems more correct.
All Uyghur computer professionals have agreed to the sorting algorithm used in the collation section.
What could be done maybe, would be to use reorder-after for each
redefined letter, in order to include it in the default sorting;
that way the other arabic letters, not used in Uyghur, would be properly
sorted if they ever appear in a list to be sorted.
There is no need to sort other Arabic letters not used in Uyghur. And if we follow this approach, everything will be a mess, as some original Arabic letters in the tail of the original Arabic or Unicode code point sorting order will sort out in the beginning of the Uyghur sorting method.
Also, maybe keep the small changes to support the sorting
of old pinyin-based writting?
It is not necessary. The old pinyin-based writing is obselete now. But we have new modified Latin Script Uyghur which uses the first 256 code points in Unicode. And the sorting order of this is quite similar to Latin (or English) alphabetic order. In my work in collation section, I have also considered this.
Finally, I have a question for submitting a new bug report. As eglibc is a fork from glibc, do we have to submit the bug report first to glibc and have it copied from there to eglibc? It seems the glibs bug maintainer is quite busy, as I have not received any responce from them in a month.
Thank you very much.
Thanks
